Bundle bids for Palmerston Sprint
Saturday, 27 June 2015

Gold Bundle has struck form since transferring to Darwin and he will be set for the Top End’s premier sprint after a convincing victory in the ROANT Cup (1300m).

The son of Keep The Faith was placed first-up at Fannie Bay in the QBE Cup a fortnight ago before winning a duel with front-runner To The Line on Saturday.  “The ride was the difference between winning and losing,” trainer Malcolm Carson said.  “Mel (Tyndall) handled him brilliantly to get the 1300 metres.”

Gold Bundle (7g Keep The Faith – Thanks A Bundle by Danewin) will have one more lead-up before the $135,000 Palmerston Sprint on August 1.  He has won 9 races and over $233,100 since a Morphettville maiden in November 2010.

The gelding began his career in Victoria Harbour with Paul and Sue Seater who bred him in partnership with Gary Martin’s Marant Group.  He’s a younger half-brother to their LR Zeditave Stakes winner Bundle O' Gold.

Second-dam Bundle Of Thanks (County) was a Listed winner of the 1990 Widden Stakes at Randwick and she foaled 9 winners at stud.

Keep The Faith stands at Greta West Stud and has sired 56 winners of 84 races for earnings of $1.96 million.  He is available at a $4,400 (inc gst) service fee this year.
